It has been one of the greatest privileges of Lori Ann's life to be a part of the miracle of participating in God helping and healing hurting people through His Word. Lori Ann has over six years of experience as a Biblical Counselor. She received her training from the Institute of Biblical Counseling and Discipleship in San Diego, California. She is also certified as a Biblical Counselor through the National Association of Noethetic Counseling. (NANC) and is a member of the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC). She has a passion for God's Word and has helped many struggling people to find hope and truth in the Gospel. Her greatest desire is helping women of all ages to overcome life-dominating problems by finding their joy and fulfillment in the Lord. Most of her experience has been counseling women through women's issues, marriage crises, obsessive compulsive disorders, drug addictions, eating disorders, depression, grief, sexual abuse, parenting problems, fear, anxiety, anger, and a range of other behavioral problems. She also has a great desire to work with families undergoing serious medical issues or with disabilities, as her son is a survivor of brain cancer and also has long term physical developmental disabilities due to the affects of his illness.
Lori Ann and her husband, Martin, have been involved in their local church for twelve years. They moved to Frisco three years ago from San Diego to be a part of planting Grace Church in Frisco, which is part of Sovereign Grace Ministries. Eric Bryant is an LPC-Intern at the Center for Christian Counseling, Ltd. practicing at the Flower Mound and Dallas locations. He received his B.A. in History from the University of North Texas and his M.A. from Dallas Baptist University. While counseling adolescences at a local juvenile detention center God began to press upon Eric the importance of working through life's issues with God's, not man's, wisdom at the center. When counseling is approached with only man's wisdom in mind, we fall short of dealing with the true heart issues involved and very often simply help pride become more deeply rooted in our lives. We must realize that we do not posses the ability to change our own hearts and cry out to God for help in times of crisis.
God has given believers community, His Holy Scriptures, prayer, and His Holy Spirit to help us walk through this life in a God glorifying way. Consequently, these four topics will be the focal point of much of the counseling done. Eric has experience working with troubled marriages, adolescences, substance abuse, grief recovery, anger, and spiritual development. His goal is to see lives restored and developed by helping others walk deeply with the Lord.
Eric and his wife, Cassie, worship together at the Village Church.
You were taught…to be made new in the attitude of your mind, and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:23-24

Chris Dockins, MABC, LPC-Intern, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Chris has experience with helping individuals, couples, adolescents, and children through a number of different mental health related issues. He has a particular interest and heart for helping those that have a history of sexual abuse trauma. Chris is also serving the community in additional areas such as marital discord, parenting problems, and divorce recovery. On a general clinical level he can assist individuals, couples, adolescents, and children with things like depression, anxiety, addiction (alcohol, drugs, internet, etc.), adolescent issues, anger management, career/ministry, child abuse, communication, conflict resolution, domestic violence, family problems, grief/mourning, midlife crisis, missionary re-entry, pastor's families, phobias, physical abuse/domestic abuse, pre-marital, relationship issues, singleness issues/dating, spiritual issues, and suicide.
Chris worked at the Denton County Child Advocacy Center where he received his initial exposure to the overwhelming need for competent mental health professionals serving people with a history of sexual abuse trauma. There he helped families affected by sexual abuse regain composure due to their traumatic experiences. Through this experience Chris has learned how important it is to have faith in Christ because through Him we can endure great adversity (Phil. 4:13). "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus" (Phil. 1:6). Through this biblical worldview, Chris understands that biblical counseling needs to be focused on the heart, because that is where God focuses (Psalm 51:17; 1 Samuel 16:7). It is easy to see that our actions are born out of our desires and beliefs, and scripture teaches that the source of our desires and beliefs is our heart (Luke 6:45; Romans 10:10).
Chris also believes that our faith in Christ cannot be separated from our experiences in the world because we are called to be Christ's missionaries (Matt. 28: 19-20). Sometimes we can get confused when these complexities of life overwhelm us. For this reason, Chris sees scriptural truth helping to guide people through the tough seasons of life and lead them to their true calling of glorifying God. Scripture has many continuous themes running through it. These themes present us with an illustration of who God is. One of these themes is that He is a Redeemer. He is in the business of redeeming that which is corrupted. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege of accompanying Him in His redeeming plan. For this reason our lives are not our own.
